Christmas service 2018
Many thanks to all the children for taking us on an international tour seeing how Christmas is celebrated in other parts of the world.
The EYFS Nativity was amazing as always - they told the incredible story of the incarnation (God becomes man) through acting and song. 
Well done (and thank you) to Maya for winning the Bath On Ice drawing competition.  Her prize is for the whole of Year 6 to have a free ice-skating session - how brilliant!  We have won for the third year running!

Skiing November 2018 043 Skiing November 2018 068 The Y5s had a fun day out in Churchill this week at the Mendip Snowsport Centreís dry-ski slope.  The rain didnít dampen their spirits and they all had a really good go at learning a new skill. 

The Girls football team enjoyed learning new skills at a recent event at the Odd Down Playing fields.
Many Thanks to all who brought in Food for the Bath Foodbank for the Harvest Festival.
Juniors enjoyed a day working with SPLATs
 practising and performing a play based on the Ancient Greek Olympics.
  Year 4 children had an amazing time on their residential trip to Folly Farm - The weather didn't dampen their spirits and they were still able to make fires despite the wet.

All the children really enjoyed the day - honing their precision skills and working as a team while New Age Kurling! There was even a competitive element, playing against teams from other schools.

Cross Country Running

18 children from the Junior department enjoyed the 1.2 km race on Weds 3rd October.  All of the children completed the course.

09  08 Y6 Enjoy a trip to Paulton's Park
  Well done to all the children and staff for an amazing afternoon's entertainment  - such talent, excellence and fun!
  The Football team played an amazing match against WASPS in the final.  They won the match 4-0 and have brought some impressive silverware home.
Sports Day was an amazing event.  Thanks to all who came to support and a special thanks to those who loaned the school their gazebos for the morning - a life saver!
49 Children from St Philip's joined forces with 450 children from across the Palladian Trust for a wonderful evening of song and dance at the Forum.
8 Children from Y4 enjoyed an afternoon of tennis at Bath University.

Today the children in Y2 and Y6 were presented with a Bible as a gift.  Thanks to St Philip & St Jamesí Church for part funding this again.  I hope they enjoy reading them and find the contents life changing.

Children did a wonderful job telling the Christmas story through readings, song and silhouette.
Owl class braved the wet and cold to spend a fun time at Bath on Ice thanks to Oliviaís winning competition entry.
Christmas Lunch
The school choir singing carols at the Sunshine Playgroup and at Gracewell care home.
A huge well done to the Reception Children for their super performance of the Nativity - this has really helped launch us into the Christmas season.

06 02 All the Junior classes enjoyed a recent trip to Caerleon which helped to bring their History topic on the Romans alive.
Many thanks to all who put together Christmas box.  We collected an impressive 105 - the most we have ever collected!  They will really make a difference to many children this year!
