Relationships and Sex Education Consultation
In line with our school vision statement, we recognise and value the importance of working in partnership with parents. To this end we are conducting a consultation with parents as we renew and update our school policy on Relationships Education.
At the beginning of the year the government published statutory guidance on Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health education. This document contains information on what schools should do and sets out the legal duties with which schools must comply when teaching Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health education
We are required to consult with you when developing and renewing our
policies on Relationships Education. These policies must be published online and are
available to anybody free of charge.
The consultation process will begin on 18th June and will end on 27th June 2021. Parents are invited to submit responses to the online questionnaire by Monday 27th June.
Your views are important to us and we will respond to you on the outcome of this consultation later this term. Once we have considered all the feedback, the finalised Relationships and Sex Education Policy will be ratified by the governors and uploaded to the school’s website.
I hope this letter and information on the school website goes some way to answer any questions you may have. If you have any queries or concerns regarding the consultation process, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Here is the link to the online consultation: https://forms.office.com/r/RLHVnYwi14 Please take the time to respond; there are only 6 questions and, I’m sure you’ll agree, relationships are so important to get right; relationships are fundamental to how we experience life together.
