Y5 & 6 Visit to Bristol Museum

Year 5 & 6 are currently learning all about the ancient Egyptian civilisation. To help bring this fascinating topic to life, the children visited Bristol Museum, which has a fantastic exhibition pack with incredible artefacts from the time period. The children particularly enjoyed sketching their favourite pieces.  Additionally, classes attended a workshop, where they were able to handle artefacts, which were thousands of years old and were able to learn about the daily life of an ancient Egyptian. After this, the children were able to explore the many galleries of Bristol Museum. The gallery of taxidermy animals was certainly a firm favourite and prompted some excellent discussion.
