St. Philip’s 0 - 5 Moorlands

On a grey but mild day beneath the rooftops of Englishcombe, St. Philip’s faced a formidable Moorlands side. Despite the final scoreline, the match was a pleasure to watch, with plenty of moments to celebrate.

Isla was outstanding in goal, delivering pinpoint passes and making some key saves. In defense, Marnie stood strong alongside Annabelle and Isabelle, holding the line with resilience. Kiki's surging runs and Libby's tireless work down the flanks provided plenty of attacking spark, keeping the team in the game.

Sophie and Sophia played pivotal roles as well, making countless clearances and ensuring the team stayed competitive throughout. Towards the end, St. Philip’s mounted a series of corners, creating real chances but just falling short of converting them into goals.

Although the match ended in a loss, it was a valuable learning experience for the team, and the effort and teamwork on display were commendable. We look forward to the next game with excitement and determination!
